FLASHY FLAXEN 2002 registered purebred filly
Chestnut with chrome
Pedigree: Keona's sire is a sabino double-Laurali and Royal Fire++ (photo) grandson who won his first Regionals-qualifying driving championship at age 2. His pedigree reads like a Who's-Who of CMK and Spanish breeding, exceptional horses in each line, and his extreme action is all natural. Fillies from his line are rare and valuable. Keona's dam has done well at area shows in halter, and is a fine all-around performance mare, from the show ring to the hunting trails. Her pedigree is filled with CMK greats like ZZ Zarada; GAI Parada, *Witez II, lots of *Raffles and *Raseyn.
Type: Keona (Key-on-a) is turning out tall and big for her age, and should mature to no less than 15.2 hands, possibly much more as mares up to 16.1 run in her sire's pedigree. Her conformation is solid and very correct, and she inherited outstanding substance and bone from both parents. She looks very much like her grandsire (photo) at this age, with the added bonus that her mane and tail are growing in flaxen, so she will be exceptionally showy.
Talent: This filly is well imprinted, very sensible and calm, with lots of class and a sweet disposition, friendly and agreeable. She has been handled daily, and she halters, leads, bathes, trailers, and clips like an old pro.
This filly is now developing an incredible long arched neck, and will be shown in halter this spring. Her breeding indicates that she could go English with ease, but she has plenty of muscle for difficult western disciplines. She is a breeder's dream as a CMK broodmare.
It is rare to find a filly with unlimited potential like this one, and her owners have made the decision to withdraw her from the market and keep her as a foundation mare for their breeding program. Therefore Keona's dam, DJ's Fancy Marada, will be available for sale after she foals in April 2003.
